Unfortunately, very little documentation exists on the history of the Bancroft Fire Department. West Metro Fire Rescue welcomes you to post stories and information below. And, if you have images from the Bancroft days, please share them with us.

West Metro Fire received three Bancroft Fire photos from the 1950s. If you know the names of any of the gentlemen in the photo, please let us know! The photos are in the photo gallery under Bancroft Fire Department.

I believe my grandfather founded the Bancroft Volunteer Fire Department. His name was Edmund Anthony Murphy. I'm working on getting more information and pictures from my Mom. He is the guy in the white hat on the front-left of the undated color picture.
