West Metro Fire Rescue employs 332 uniformed and 54 civilian personnel. Together, these dedicated employees work to keep our community safe and help our agency run efficiently. West Metro's Human Resources Division provides professional and quality support and guidance that enables all employees to better serve our citizens.

Duties
Our aim includes: 

• Consulting in human resource matters regarding equitable administration of compensation and benefits 
• Establishing, administering, and effectively communicating sound policies and procedures 
• Recruiting qualified individuals 
• Recognizing and encouraging the value of diversity in the work place
• Retaining valuable employees 
• Training employees in human resource areas 
• Treating employees with dignity and equality while maintaining compliance with employment and labor laws, District policies, and labor agreements

Responsibilities
Human Resources is responsible for recruitment, benefits and compensation, employment policies and procedures, risk management, employee relations, and records management.
