3. What does “Representative Government” mean to you?
Government serving the will of the people through elected individuals who serve and represent the common interest of those who elected them, not exclusively their own interest.  

4. What do you see as the three biggest issues facing West Metro Fire Rescue over the next 5 years?
A: Managing the impact of the economy on the West Metro Fire finances.
-During this 2 year cycle, revenues have fallen by $4,000,000 per year. This has impacted the following:
*3% pay decrease for local 1309 members
* Manpower (skipped a recruiting class)
* Station maintenance/remodels
B: Develop a business/enterprise plan for the new Training Center to bring in outside income to support and expand offerings and professionalism.
C. Cross Boundary Lines cooperation/incorporation with/of other districts .

1. How long have you lived in West Metro’s District?  
34 years

2. What makes you qualified to serve as an elected official of West Metro’s Board of Directors?
From 1978 to the merger I served as the volunteer secretary for Bancroft Fire Department.  I enjoyed being involved with the Department at that time.  I would love to become involved again.  I think we live in the best fire district in the State.

3. What does “Representative Government” mean to you?
To me it means that the people elect the representatives they want to present their voice and opinions to the Government or for example the Board of Directors.

4. What do you see as the three biggest issues facing West Metro Fire Rescue over the next 5 years?
I see budget issues, possible mergers which mean more area to cover, staffing.
