What makes the Front Range Wildfire Symposium different?
Most “S-classes” tend to be geared toward seasonal firefighters and those with no firefighting background. The classes taught at the FRWS are designed for full-time professional and volunteer firefighters who have wildland responsibilities in addition to structural firefighting. Our classes will build upon the NWCG curriculum by drawing on the experience of our instructors with a focus on the hazards faced in Colorado. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of instruction while meeting the objectives of the NWCG. All courses will be held at West Metro Fire’s new state-of-the-art training center in Lakewood.
