Residential Home Safety Assessments

This Residential Home Safety Assessment is designed to help you identify risks that exist in your home and what steps you can take to help protect yourself, your home, and your family from common household risks such as falls, fires, carbon monoxide poisoning, and more. By taking a few minutes to complete the assessment, you will be able to identify risks that need to be addressed in your home. Household risks have the potential to seriously impact your quality of life; taking steps to reduce the risks around you is more than worth your time and effort.

West Metro Fire Rescue recommends you do a Home Assessment at least once a year. If your home environment, medications, or the people living in the home change, it's best to perform the assessment every time conditions change. Keeping your space safe should be a part of your daily routine. Be sure to involve every member of the household in the assessment and update safety measures as needed. A safer home starts with awareness, and a few simple actions can have a lasting impact on protecting what matters most – your health and well-being.
