Todd Heinl has over 20 years of experience in the fire service after working in corporate marketing for nearly 10 years. He has held various positions at West Metro Fire Rescue, including Paramedic Field Instructor, Training Officer, Special Teams Captain, District Chief, Division Chief of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and co-chair of the Strategic Plan and Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) Strategic Planning Teams. He has served as an advisory committee member for the EMS Association of Colorado and EMS Section Chief for the Colorado State Fire Chiefs.

Chief Heinl holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado. Additionally, he earned the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) and Chief EMS Officer (CEMSO) credentials from the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE).
