Congratulations to our newest Firewise USA® Community!

Residents of the Willow Springs Outlook neighborhood were officially recognized by the National Fire Protection Association as a Firewise USA® site- a national designation that means this community isn’t just talking about wildfire risk… they’re doing something about it. Outlook makes the fifth neighborhood in the Willow Springs area that has made the Firewise commitment.

Firewise USA® communities take a proactive, neighbor-to-neighbor approach to wildfire safety- working together to reduce fuels, create defensible space, and make homes more resistant to embers and fast-moving fire. It’s about planning, action, and commitment- not just once, but year after year.

This recognition reflects a community that:

• Organized and built a wildfire action plan

• Invested time and effort into mitigation projects

• Partnered with fire professionals

• Committed to ongoing work to reduce risk

And it matters- because when neighbors work together, it can slow the spread of fire, protect homes, and make it safer for firefighters when seconds count.
