West Metro Firefighter Critically Injured During Training
On Wednesday, July 29, West Metro crews were conducting high-angle rescue training in a steep, rocky area near the town of Morrison, west of C-470, when Firefighter/Paramedic Jarrod Leonard fell approximately 50 feet.
Jarrod sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated in intensive care, and remains in critical but stable condition.
Jarrod is being closely monitored by a large team of healthcare professionals. His family, along with members of the West Metro Fire Rescue family, continue to be by his side.
We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of support from our community. Your kind words, prayers, and encouragement have meant so much to Jarrod's family and to everyone at West Metro.
